WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FAMILY SESSION

BEFORE THE SESSION

My goal is to create a customized experience for you and your family. Before the session, I'm here to guide you through location ideas, outfit selection, and to discuss any ideas you might have.

DURING THE SESSION

My full, all-inclusive sessions (typically 45-60 minutes) are a completely customized experience, offering a wide variety of posing and scenery options.

Mini-sessions are simple 20-minute sessions that are perfect for a quick update or short attention spans. They are available weekdays at select Lincoln locations.

When I am working with younger kids, we may spend a lot of our time "playing" with some posing mixed in, which makes for a great variety of images for the final gallery. I always have some ideas to get natural smiles and interaction (even from the adults!), and I will work hard to make it a fun and relaxing experience for everyone.

AFTER THE SESSION

Two weeks after the session, your gallery will be ready! You can view and download your edited digital images from my gallery website. While you are free to print and share the photos yourself, I do also offer professional canvas gallery wraps, framed and mounted prints, and handmade albums.

FAQ

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

My best advice is to pick something for one person and let that "inspire" the selections for everyone else. The key is not to match but to coordinate. I would recommend picking a color scheme with four or five colors that are related (like pastels, bold, rich colors, or various shades of blues and purples). There are so many great options, and I'm more than happy to help you with specific ideas. You may also find inspiration in my family gallery.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? OR SOMEONE IS SICK?

Weather conditions can significantly impact the session, and I certainly don't want anyone to be uncomfortable. If it's extremely hot, cold, windy, or raining, we can always reschedule. Even an overcast day can be less than ideal if you are looking for gorgeous backlit images. I want the best possible photos, and if the weather is likely to be a significant factor in the day's success, I will often recommend rescheduling the session for another date.

In the case of illness or injury, I will always recommend rescheduling. We want everyone to be at their best for the appointment.

WILL YOU TRAVEL?

Yes, I am more than happy to travel for sessions. While I am based in Lincoln, a large portion of my sessions are on location throughout the southeast Nebraska area. I always love the opportunity to shoot in new places. There are no travel fees for locations within a 40-mile radius of Lincoln. Beyond that, my travel fee is $ 0.75 per mile.

HOW DO I BOOK?

To officially reserve a session date, I require a signed contract and payment for the session fee, which can be done entirely online. As your session date approaches, we will finalize all the details. Contact me to reserve your date now!
